Carbon dioxide from road transport: £250 million funding package announced for low emission vehicles
Wednesday 21st January 2009Secretary of State for Transport Geoff Hoon has announced a £250 million funding package to stimulate consumer take-up and commercialisation within the UK of low emission road vehicles.
The money will support consumer incentives and infrastructure development, supplementing an existing £100m programme of research, development and demonstration. Further details will be made available later this year.
