Commercial vehicle registration: year on year falls continue
Wednesday 14th January 2009The sharp falls in commercial vehicle registrations recorded by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders continued in December.
Compared to December 2007, van registrations were down 27 per cent and for the whole of 2008 were down 14 per cent. While truck registrations in December 2008 were up six per cent on 2007, business sentiment remains exceptionally weak. Overall truck registrations in 2008 ended up 13 per cent above 2007.
