Race For Life
Wednesday 3rd June 2009Once again the ladies of Backhouse Jones Solicitors proved their metal by completing the 5k Race for Life, raising much needed cash for the charity Cancer Research UK.
Every day, almost 100 people from the North West are diagnosed with
cancer, but since the Race for Life series began 16 years ago, the overall death rate has dropped by 15%, with many thousands more people surviving the disease. Last year over 1 million pounds was invested in the regions cancer services.
Not content with nursing their sore calves this morning, plans are already being made for the next fundraising event! So keep revisiting our news section to find out just exactly what our ladies may mean by 'fancy dress'.
