Corporate and Commercial Solicitor

Job Purpose

We are looking for a talented solicitor to deal with a variety of commercial and corporate transactions. You will ensure that the company operates within the law at all times. The successful candidate will be able to ensure legal compliance and limit risk exposure.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide expert, succinct and strategic legal advice to clients
  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Provide assistance to the head of department with large corporate transactions and run your own caseload of smaller corporate transactions
  • Anticipate issues and identify proactive solutions for clients
  • Deal with complex, sensitive and significant matters that cut across legal and related areas
  • Keep abreast of and advise on legislative and case law changes and other legal and regulatory developments

Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified solicitor, with minimum 1-3 years PQE in company commercial and corporate field and current SRA practising certificate.
  • Flexible and able to support colleagues on related issues, including data privacy and corporate governance.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Dynamic approach, with focus on delivering high quality work under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • A commercial mindset with the ability to make fact-based decisions
  • Ability to see the big picture and provide practical solutions
  • Self-motivated and used to working independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate passion for outstanding service quality
  • Must be able to conduct themselves appropriately in a professional business environment
  • Highly IT literate with MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
