Backhouse Jones recently acted for Warrington’s Own Buses on the acquisition of Fairbrother Buses.
Having been made aware that David Fairbrother wished to retire from his business, the recent completion of the deal means Warrington’s Own Buses has secured continuity for the bus services offered by Fairbrothers as well as continuity of employment for Fairbrothers’ trusted and faithful employees.
Warrington’s Own Buses operates the majority of bus services within the Warrington area as well as services to the surrounding areas of Leigh, Altrincham, Northwich, Newton-le-Willows and Earlestown. It carries over 6 million passengers per year and has a fleet of 90 buses.
Brett Cooper, Head of Company Commercial at Backhouse Jones led the deal and was assisted by Charlotte Jackson, Solicitor. Brett commented “Warrington’s Own Buses are carrying out some great work, so it’s been a pleasure to assist in this transaction.”
Speaking on behalf of the acquisition, Ben Wakerley, Manging Director of Warrington’s Own Buses commented:
“Backhouse Jones have supported us with our acquisition of Fairbrothers. They’ve been a great help, which allowed us to turn the deal around quickly and ensure that the employees had a seamless transition”
