We live in an age where your employees can find anything out and access to employment advice is more the norm than the exception. If you fail to follow the letter of the law when you handle employment matters (such as disciplinary and grievances) it will cost your business more in the long-run.

Did you know:

  • An Employment Tribunal can find that a dismissal is substantively unfair but it is also open for them to determine that it is procedurally unfair?
  • This means added emphasis is placed on making sure that a reasonable process is followed which meets the minimum standards expected under the ACAS Code of Practice?
  • Failure to follow a fair process could result in financial compensation being awarded to an ex-employee for unfair dismissal plus an additional 25% for failure to comply with the ACAS Code of Practice?
  • The current limit on compensation for an unfair dismissal claim is the lower of £89,493 or 52 weeks wages?

Our ‘Watch your BACK’ eTraining has been developed to assist those involved in managing the disciplinary process to ensure they have the knowledge to conduct a fair and consistent Disciplinary Procedure within the work place and to deal with the difficult employees and/or companions.

We will take you through the correct process giving those involved a first-hand understanding of what to expect based on our experience of the transport industry. You will get to see a mini mock disciplinary in action and have the opportunity to interact and ask questions.
