Driver Conduct Hearings

Driver Conduct Hearings

A driver conduct hearing is where the Traffic Commissioners determine whether an individual is fit to hold a professional licence. Driver conduct hearings also take place to determine whether to suspend or revoke an existing licence due to the driver’s conduct. The Senior Traffic Commissioner’s Statutory Document No 6: “Vocational Driver Conduct” establishes action that may be taken against professional licence holders regarding drivers’ hours, tachograph use and falsification offences.

If you have recently received a letter from the Traffic Commissioner inviting you to attend a hearing, please seek legal advice as soon as possible as your vocational licence may be in jeopardy.
